The artistic heart of the 25hours Hotel Langstrasse is the art project “Artist in Hotel Residence”. The studio on the ground floor is available as a work space for invited artists. At the end of their stay, artists in residence donate a work to the hotel’s art collection.

Like every summer, four international artists are invited to take part in a vibrant residency. They stay at the hotel and transform the Atelier into their personal studio space.
To wrap things up, Open Studio events offer a glimpse behind the scenes. Visitors are welcome to drop by, discover the artworks created during the residency, meet the artists, and enjoy cheesecake, snacks, and a glass of bubbly.

Xinyi Fox Hu, Guangdong, China, currently based in Paris
29. June to 11. July 2026

In collaboration with sinokultur, Zurich

Open Studio: Saturday, 11 July, 4–7pm

Xinyi Fox Hu’s ceramics unfold like fragments of an imagined world — fairylike forms, organic bodies, and creatures that seem to grow between reality and myth. Her works read like chapters of an evolving story, where species adapt to their own environments and act as gentle narrators of an unfamiliar, living cosmos.

Maya Gurantz, Los Angeles
13. to 25. July 2026

In collaboration with Michael Günzburger, artist and researcher, Zurich

Open Studio: Saturday, 25 July, 4–7pm

Maya Gurantz examines the spaces where belief, power, and storytelling intertwine. Working across film, performance, installation, and research, she traces the remnants of The Sunworshippers — a vanished cult stretching from California to Zurich. Her practice reveals how narratives shape influence, and how strong figures emerge within them. In Zurich, her residency opens a new chapter in this investigation, inviting the city’s own histories to enter the conversation.

27. July to 8. August 2026

In collaboration with Monika Gold, designer and curator, Zurich

Open Studio: Saturday, 8 August, 4–7pm

Lisa Olshanskaya and Igor Gurovich weave stories through textiles and graphic form — her delicate embroideries and his bold tapestries meeting in a shared visual language shaped by years of collaboration. Rooted in Yerevan and carried by an ongoing creative dialogue, their work now unfolds in Zurich, where the residency opens space for new pieces and new conversations.

Hilla Toony Navok, Tel Aviv
10. to 22. August 2026

In collaboration with Omanut, Zurich

Open Studio: Saturday, 22 August, 4–7pm

Hilla Toony Navok turns the everyday cityscape into a stage of humor, critique, and sharp observation — tracing how people move, adapt, and improvise within urban space. Rooted in an ongoing dialogue with Omanut and her first Zurich exhibition, her practice now meets the vibrant rhythms of Langstrasse, where the residency offers new material for her keen, playful gaze.
