Like every summer, four international artists are invited to take part in a vibrant residency. They stay at the hotel and transform the Atelier into their personal studio space. To wrap things up, Open Studio events offer a glimpse behind the scenes. Visitors are welcome to drop by, discover the artworks created during the residency, meet the artists, and enjoy cheesecake, snacks, and a glass of bubbly.
Maya Gurantz works across film, performance, installation, and research to explore the intersections of belief, power, and storytelling. Tracing the remnants of The Sunworshippers, a vanished cult stretching from California to Zurich, her work examines how narratives shape influence and charismatic figures.
From 13 to 25 July 2026, she will be Artist in Residence at 25hours Hotel Langstrasse in collaboration with Sinokultur Zurich. Guests are invited to visit the Open Studio on Saturday, 25 July, from 4–7pm.
