Kicking off the summer pop-up series at NENI Zurich are two absolute power women: Michaela Frank and Sarah Madritsch bring a fresh breeze to Langstrasse on the 4th and 5th of July 2025 – with modern dishes, clever twists, and ice-cold drinks.

Michaela Frank, once Zurich’s youngest star chef, focuses on ingredients from small local producers and masterfully blends finesse with the feel-good factor of Chinese comfort food. One spoiler: her signature congee will definitely be part of the Balagan menu.

By her side: Sarah Madritsch, “Barkeeper of the Year 2022.” Her philosophy? She works more like in a kitchen than a bartender – focusing on ingredients rather than spirits, creating fresh, seasonal drinks that are modern, Asian-inspired interpretations of classic cocktails. Flavorful, refined, and refreshingly different.

Together, they’re curating a culinary experience full of character – from starters to dessert, and from the first sip to the last.

Cooking takes place live on the terrace, under the open sky and right in front of the guests. In addition to their signature dishes and drinks, selected NENI sharing plates will be served – all in the spirit of Balagan.
