The name of the Königlicher Hirschgarten (= royal deer garden) dates back to the late 18th century when it was laid out as a hunting ground for the nobility. The deer are still present today, in an enclosure where visitors can watch and feed them with the restaurant and beer garden right next to it, offering visitors a charming mix of nature, history and bavarian hospitality.
