Out of the City and to the Lakes
Whether summer or winter, Munich‘s surroundings offer countless beautiful spots with numerous mountains and lakes, just like Munich itself. In my free time, I love spending every moment by the lakes, whether it‘s the widely renowned Tegernsee, Starnberger See, or Ammersee. All three lakes are easily accessible by public transport or car and are no more than an hour away.
Concerts, Festivals, and more Experiences
As the daughter of a musician, I’ve always had a special love for concerts, as well as events that allow us to escape daily life and create unforgettable moments. And Munich offers plenty of them! One of my highlights is the Tollwood Festival, which takes place for four weeks in summer and winter. It features daily concerts, countless market stalls, global cuisine, and a diverse cultural program. For the best tips, check out these social media accounts:

Relaxed Munich Bars and Must-Visit Places
Anyone who thinks Munich is all about high society hasn’t experienced the city’s nightlife firsthand. Munich offers a vibrant mix of bars, clubs, and laid-back spots that guarantee a wonderful evening. Here are my favorites:
Lost Weekend: The perfect spot for remote work or study during the day, with a colorful event program every evening.
Werksviertel: Located near Ostbahnhof, this area is full of bars and restaurants with a relaxed container vibe, right next to the Ferris wheel. My highlight: The sheep on the roof of Werk3, best viewed from the Fitzroy Rooftop Bar.
Das Quartier: Hidden in a courtyard in the heart of the city, you’ll find the Summer/Wiesn/Winter Quartier – a relaxed outdoor bar with pallet furniture.
Alte Utting: A 40-meter-long ship on a bridge in the middle of the city sounds absurd? Not in Munich. The Alte Utting, a former passenger ship, is now a gastronomy venue and unique cultural and party location in Sendling.
Boilerman Bar: Last but not least, my all-time favorite bar: our beloved Boilerman Bar. Enjoy ice-cold highballs or a spritz in a relaxed atmosphere with no dress code. True to the heart of our philosophy: Come as you are.
