25hours x Pragmatische Poesie

Raphael Lepenies has been writing essays and “painting words” for almost ten years—short, poetic texts that now accompany over 90,000 people. In essays, poetry and doodles, he addresses the big questions of life: the search for meaning, self-discovery, longing. With his Pragmatic Poetry series and the BoD bestseller Das Leben ist schrecklich schön (Life is terribly beautiful), he gets to the heart of these topics in a pointed and emotional way—both on paper and on social media.

A central motif of his work is the question of how we can set boundaries and at the same time open up spaces for closeness and relationships without losing ourselves. In addition to his work as an author, Lepenies was active as a systemic coach for many years and has been enriching cultural events with readings, moderations and talks since 2018.

As part of the 25hours x Pragmatic Poetry Tour 2025, Raphael Lepenies will be reading live from his books. The events will be moderated by Emma Böbbis and accompanied by music from Felix Dreiser. Just come by, listen, immerse yourself and let the words sink in.
