With a size of around 20 hectares and over 13k types of plants the Palmengarten (garden of palm trees) is one of the largest botanical gardens in Germany — and slightly underselling its bandwidth by just putting palms in its name. The park opened in 1871 and has been a favourite for both locals and visitors ever since. Did we mention there’s a lake with pedal boats?
