25hours x Pragmatische Poesie Tour 2025

Raphael Lepenies has been writing essays and “painting words” for almost ten years—short, poetic texts that now accompany over 100,000 people. In essays, poetry, and doodles, he addresses the big questions of life: the search for meaning, self-discovery, longing. With his Pragmatic Poetry series and the BoD bestseller Das Leben ist schrecklich schön (Life is Terribly Beautiful), he gets to the heart of these topics in a pointed and emotional way – both on paper and on social media.

A central motif of his work is the question of how we can set boundaries and at the same time open up spaces for closeness and relationships without losing ourselves. In addition to his work as an author, Lepenies was active as a systemic coach for many years. As part of the 25hours x Pragmatic Poetry Tour 2025, Raphael Lepenies will read live from his books. Lepenies will be accompanied on this evening by multi-instrumentalist and producer Felix Dreiser. The Cologne-based musician builds sonic bridges with his sound: between organic and synthetic worlds, between electronic pulse, sophisticated sound design, and the warmth of acoustic instruments. The events will be moderated by Emma Böbbis. Just come by, listen, immerse yourself, and let the words sink in. The event will be in German.
