Perfect Sunday

A long sleep in just has to be part of any Sunday. Then you should definitely pop into the Altes Mädchen for brunch. The adventure playground in the HafenCity is an absolute highlight if you have kids, especially forthe little ones. You can hire a Schindelhauer bike right at the hotel. Cycling to the Treppenviertel in Blankenese with the wind in your hair, is just like being on the Mediterranean sea. The Treppenviertel in Blankenese is characterised by twisting alleyways, beautiful housesand lots of steps right on the banks of the Elbe. The views across the Elbe from the very top are simply breathtaking. Stop off at Lühmanns Teestube on the way back and enjoy a slice of very delicious cake.

For the love of burger

Forget all that fancy Burger stuff — if you’re looking for a good, honest burger, then Hesburger is the only way to go. It’s saved many a life after a long night out. But then go straight to bed please.

Don’t miss out

Hamburg is diverse. Don’t miss out on the unique coffee — the best in the city if you ask me — in the Black Delight right on Eppendorfer Weg. Nor miss a ride on a HVV ferry. Hop on, ride for a few stations and enjoy the view of the city and the harbour. If you’re looking for a sophisticated night out, it’s the Laeiszhalle, an absolute insider tip. The atmosphere in Hamburg’s traditional music hall is truly special.
