Firmly positioned as one of Germany’s best art museums and well-established within the international scene, the Städel holds well over 3k European masterpieces from across 700 years including works of Sandro Botticelli, Lucas Cranach, Albrecht Dürer, Johannes Vermeer, Claude Monet, Édouard Manet, Max Liebermann… what we’re trying to say is if they painted after 1300 and were/are somewhat famous for that, work of them is probably on display here.
