Do I want to become a mother or not? Few people go through life without facing the question of whether to have children. In her book “Alle kriegen Kinder, ich zweifle” (“Everyone’s Having Kids, I’m Having Doubts”), author, podcaster, and journalist Verena Kleinmann explores this very issue. She herself never really had a desire to have children.

As more and more of her friends have children, her concerns grow: Will I regret not having children? Will I be lonelier or unhappier? What societal expectations are actually influencing my decision? And who will constitute my family if I don’t have children?

Verena Kleinmann explores her feelings, conducts research, and carries out dozens of interviews. On this evening, she will read from the resulting work, and there will also be time for questions and discussion.

Event starts 7pm, ends approximately 9pm. The Oost Bar remains open until 1am. Hotel guests are very welcome to join spontaneously for free without any ticket, that’s without the welcome drink though. Event language is German.
