La Cravate Solidaire

La Cravate Solidaire is a French network to promote equal opportunities.

La Cravate Solidaire is a French network of associations that works to promote equal opportunities. Their aim is to fight against discriminations in recruitment, particularly regarding physical appearance. Since launching in 2012, in Paris and throughout France, they have been helping people in (re)integration to achieve their professional goals. La Cravate Solidaire’s mission is to empower individuals facing challenging circumstances, ensuring they enter job interviews under the best possible conditions. That way, La Cravate Solidaire is instilling confidence in individuals who require it by facilitating the acquisition of workplace norms through a practical and innovative method.

The Sape Bar in the 25hours Hotel Terminus Nord and La Cravate Solidaire share the theme of elegant clothing. The interior of the bar is inspired by the Sape Boutiques in the neighbourhood. “Sapologie” is an African (originally Congolese) cultural and clothing movement, that worships haute couture, designer clothes and elegance as external signs of success. Today, to say that you’re “bien sapé” in French means that you’re well dressed, and we want to make sure everyone has access to this right.

Guests can donate professional clothes directly at the front desk to support La Cravate Solidaire. For each donation the 25hours Hotel Terminus Nord invites the donators for a drink at the Sape Bar.
