UNICEF, the United Nations Children’s Fund, works worldwide to realise the rights of children regardless of skin colour, religion or origin. The basis for UNICEF’s work is the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

The organisation provides both rapid emergency relief in crisis situations and long-term support for reconstruction. Its aim is to enable girls and boys worldwide to grow up in a healthy and safe environment and to give them the chance to develop their full potential.
