Sunday’s back again…
A bike ride up the Etzel and over to Sihlsee lake in the morning, then zoom down the mountainside to Zurich Lake and call in at Fischer’s Fritz on the way home for a delicious evening meal reflecting on the fabulous day. A perfect Sunday!
— Fischer’s Fritz. Amazing fish restaurant right on the water. District 2, Seestrasse 559
Food and drink
Coco Bar & Grill – I’ve always found it astonishing that someone has managed to put the South of France, including the charcoal grill, right behind Paradeplatz square. Great ambiance and, depending on the wind direction, you can even smell the beguiling scent of charcoal and an amazing Côte de Boeuf while strolling down the very chic Bahnhofstrasse. If I fancy some Asian food, I pop over to The Ginger in Seefeld; their huge conveyor belt contains the best Japanese delicacies that you could hope to find outside Japan. A delight for the eyes and mouth!
— Coco Bar & Grill. It’s like a holiday in your lunch hour. District 1, Bleicherweg 1A
— Ginger. More than just sushi! District 8, Seefeldstrasse 62
Shoppen bis zum Umfallen
Do not miss out on VMC, the coolest clothes shop ever with very unique labels and great staff. You can also find the city’s oldest watch shop here at Rindermarkt. Buying a second-hand classic watch gives you that amazing feeling that you’ve landed a bargain (even though you probably haven’t really ;-)).
— VMC. Unique range of modern and classic brands. District 1, Rindermarkt 8
— Uhren Atelier. Vintage watches, a piece of history for your wrist. District 1, Rindermarkt 21
Frühstück
At Sphères, which is not far from the hotel, you’ll find the perfect combination of literature, conversation and excellent coffee. And if you want, you can laze around here all day and watch the fast-paced, continually expanding Zurich West zoom on by.
— Sphères. Bar, book and theatre! District 5, Hardturmstrasse 66
